CIL Director Robert Beckman made a presentation on The Significance of Islands to Maritime Claims on 4 June 2013 at the 26th Annual International Military Law and Operations (MILOPS) Engagement at the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok. The Conference was organized by the US Pacific Command, Hawaii. The Panel on Developments applicable to Regional Maritime Security was chaired by Prof Pete Pedrozo of US Naval War College and included speakers from China, Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam.
