TRILA Viet Nam Online Workshop was held from 7 to 8 April 2021. The workshop is co-organised by the NUS Centre for International Law, International Law Faculty, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, and the aculty of Economic Law, University of Economics and Law, Viet Nam National University. 46 Vietnamese participants and speakers, and 9 non-Vietnamese speakers attended this workshop.
TRILA Viet Nam featured a roundtable table discussion on teaching and researching international law in ASEAN countries. Academics from Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Cambodia shared their thoughts on the challenges being faced by teachers, especially in this time of pandemic, teaching non-traditional topics, issues concerning limited materials and resources, among others. The workshop was also an opportunity for young Vietnamese scholars to present their research projects on various topics, such as public health, the convention on foreign public documents, law of the sea, international investment law, and international criminal law.
