Yeosu Academy of the Law of the Sea on 24 October to 4 November 2022

2-3 November 2022: CIL Director Dr Nilüfer Oral was Invited to Speak at the 2022 Yeosu Academy of the Law of the Sea

The Yeosu Project is an international cooperation program designed to strengthen capabilities of developing countries in order to meet the challenges related to the ocean and the environment. It is being developed as the practical element that translates the spirit of the Yeosu Declaration and the theme of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea into action. The Yeosu Project will become an important legacy of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea by helping developing countries create forward-looking and environment-friendly methods to preserve and make judicious use of marine resources.

Dr Oral gave three lectures via Zoom on the following:

  1. Dispute Settlement
  2. Turkish Straits and Black Sea
  3. Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ)
