Co-Head of CIL’s Oceans Law and Policy Programme, Dr Tara Davenport was invited to present in a webinar on “Effective Control” on 1 September 2023 organized by the Informal Working Group on Institutional Matters convened by the International Seabed Authority (ISA). The webinar was chaired by the co-chair of the Informal Working Group, Ambassador Georgina Guillen Grillo and Dr Davenport presented on “Effective Control: Implications for Sponsoring States and their Obligations to Regulate the Contractor.” Her presentation is available here.
