Chau Do served as an arbitrator of the elimination hearing of the Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2026. The competition took place virtually on 7 - 9 February 2026. The case concerns legal issues on the applicable version of the SIAC Arbitration Rules, the disclosure of third-party funding and insurance agreements, the exemption of liability under Article 79 CISG and the calculation of damages for a substitute transaction under Article 75 CISG. Notably, one of the parties participating in this hearing was ultimately crowned the winner of the competition.

Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot is an annual mooting competition organized by Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) based on the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot simulating arbitration proceedings under the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
