Denise Cheong and Nivedita S participated in BIICL’s Energy Law Course

Denise Cheong, Head of Energy Law and Policy and Research Fellow Nivedita S participated in a two-day energy law course organised by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL). This course was held in London from 2 to 3 December and was also open to virtual participation. Adopting a multi-disciplinary approach with international and comparative perspectives, the course provided an overview of present-day challenges and solutions in energy law, across the oil and gas, nuclear and renewable energy sectors. Topics included the Energy Charter Treaty, the role of energy in armed conflict and peace settlement and the role of lawyers in crisis response in the energy sector.
