Dita Liliansa spoke at the 2^nd Conference on Preventing Dangerous Maritime Incidents and Escalation in the Asia-Pacific, in Bangkok, Thailand, on 24-25 July 2023. She discussed the involvement of non-military vessels in planned and unplanned encounters at sea, and how existing maritime confidence-building measures could be adapted to address the increasing incidents of non-military vessels in contested waters. The conference, hosted by the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network (APLN) and Verification Research, Training, and Information Centre (VERTIC), focused on managing and mitigating incidents and escalation in the Asia-Pacific region.
