Dita Liliansa Delivered a Keynote Speech at Workshop on Sustainable Fisheries in Zhoushan, China
CIL Research Fellow Dita Liliansa delivered a keynote speech at the Workshop on Sustainable Fisheries and the Implementation of the Port State Measures Agreement, held on 19 September 2025 at the Ocean College, Zhejiang University, Zhoushan, China. The workshop followed the accession of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to the Agreement on Port State Measures, which entered into force for the PRC on 16 April 2025. This accession is particularly significant, as the PRC operates the world’s largest fishing fleets and hosts some of the world’s busiest ports by total fishing and carrier vessel visits. In her keynote, Dita spoke on “The Role of Port States in Promoting Sustainable Fisheries”, reflecting on the importance of the PRC’s recent accession to the Agreement.
