CIL Research Fellow Dita Liliansa delivered a lecture titled ‘Enforcement Measures for Fisheries Law Violation in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)’ on 25 October 2024 as part of an ‘Expert Lecture on Regulation of Fishing Activities by Foreign Vessels in EEZ of the Coastal State’ at Gujarat Maritime University.

The lecture, held in a hybrid format, was attended by LLM students from the university. It covered the scope of coastal state enforcement jurisdiction under Article 73 of UNCLOS and examined Indonesia’s practices in addressing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing in its EEZ.
