Dita Liliansa served as Chief Judge/President of the oral rounds of 2022 NILOS Moot Court Competition – Vietnam National Rounds. The competition took place virtually from 16 to 17 April 2022. The winning team will advance to the International Rounds.

She was also invited to grade memorials submitted by the teams, which pleaded the RV Vilhelmina case before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS). The case concerns, inter alia, legal issues on the laying of submarine cables, marine scientific research, establishment of outer limits of the continental shelf, port access in the time of a life-threatening pandemic and historic rights.

NILOS Moot Court Competition is an international academic competition organized by the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS), Utrecht University Law School. It is the first moot court simulating proceedings under Part XV of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
