CIL Research Fellow Dr Su Wai Mon participated in the 1st Maritime Safety and Security Research Dialogue: Maritime Law Enforcement amid Evolving Global Dynamics, held in Tokyo, Japan.

The Dialogue was co-organised by the Japan Coast Guard Academy, the Japan Coast Guard Foundation, and the Nagasaki University Research Center for Global Risk, bringing together researchers and practitioners from Japan and around the world to examine the evolving challenges facing maritime law enforcement through the perspectives of the international law of the sea, technological innovation, area studies, and international relations.

Dr Su contributed to discussions on the protection and resilience of critical underwater infrastructure, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in addressing emerging cybersecurity threats in the maritime domain.
