Dr. Tara Davenport, Co-Head of the Oceans Law and Policy Team at CIL, participated in the 14^th Cooperation Forum: Co-operative Mechanism on Safety of Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore held at the Paradox Singapore Merchant from 31 July 2023 – 1 August 2023. The Co-operative Mechanism provides a framework for cooperation between the littoral States and users of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. Dr. Davenport presented on “UNCLOS, IMO and Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships,” in Plenary Session 3 on Maritime Autonomous Surface Vessels. Her presentation is available here.
