CIL Researcher Joel Ong attended as a delegate of the World Maritime Forum: Copenhagen Conference at the AC Bella Sky Convention Center, Copenhagen, Denmark. It was held from Tue to Wed 18 to 19 February 2025. It featured 11 Panel Discussions on various decarbonization developments for shipping:

3. Wind-Powered Vessels: The Future of Eco-Friendly Shipping

6. From Guidelines to Game-Changers: The Regulation Debate
7. The Nuclear Propulsion Debate: Powering Progress or Risking Controversy?
8. Piracy on the High Seas: Tackling the Threat to Global Trade
9. Digitalization in Focus: Navigating Maritime’s Transformation
10. AI and the Sea: Enhancing Operations or Creating New Risks?

The conference featured various high-profile speakers and attendees from 200+ industry bodies, such as speakers from Maersk, Hafnia, Maritime Cybersecurity Institute, Hamburg Port Authority, SEA/LNG, Onboard Carbon Capture (Langh Tech), and the Sec-Gen of the International Windship Association.
