Joel Ong presented at the Interdisciplinary Seminar Series on Climate, Energy and Sustainability: Oceans Special Edition


Joel Ong, CIL Research Assistant, participated as a speaker at the Interdisciplinary Seminar Series on Climate, Energy and Sustainability: Oceans Special Edition on 25 April 2024, organized by the Centre for Climate Change Law and Governance (CLIMA), the Copenhagen Center for Disaster Research (COPE), Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen and the student associations Casus Clima, International Law Students Association (ILSA) and Energy Crossroads Denmark.

The primary goal of the seminar series is to provide students and junior researchers from all disciplines with an opportunity to present, discuss and receive academic feedback on their work (bachelor/master thesis and other research projects) on topics related to climate, energy and sustainability.

Joel Ong presented his key findings and research on climate change and shipping at the IMO, entitled: ‘Developments, Barriers, Prospects of Mitigating Shipping’s Impact on Climate Change at the IMO: A Diachronic Approach’. Click here to view / download the presentation slides.
