Dr Jon Truby and Ayma Naseem from CIL’s AI and technology team virtually attended the Tech Diplomacy Global Forum hosted by UNESCO. This event brought together global stakeholders - government representatives, international organisations, tech innovators, and researchers, to deliberate on pressing issues around technology, diplomacy, and global cooperation.

The forum focused on the need for inclusive and interoperable digital governance, exploring new multilateral mechanisms to address the fragmented global regulatory environment around emerging technologies. Keynote sessions discussed AI diplomacy, cross-border data governance, cybersecurity cooperation, and the geopolitical implications of technological advancement.
