CIL Co-Head of Oceans Law and Policy, Dr. Tara Davenport participated in the 9^th International Conference on the Law of the Sea: 30 Years of UNCLOS: Then Now and the Future that took place from 19 – 20 November 2024 in Seoul, Korea organized by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Korean Society of International Law; and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. Dr Davenport gave a presentation titled “Reconceptualizing Coastal State Sovereignty in the Territorial Sea Through the Lens of Submarine Transit Cables” in Panel 1 on Coastal State Jurisdiction in the Territorial Sea.
