CIL, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and the Asian Law Institute (ASLI), organised the ASEAN Integration Through Law Plenary and Course Development Workshop on the ASEAN Economic Community in Hanoi, Viet Nam. The event was opened by the Deputy Foreign Minister, HE Mr Ho Xuan Son, who shared his view about the importance of ASEAN to Viet Nam, as well as the need for ASEAN Members to collectively address the challenges towards the ASEAN Economic Community by 2015. The interactive discussions during the plenary sessions and afternoon workshops were attended by more than 150 participants, including ASEAN government officials, representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, academics from more than 20 countries, and the business community.
