Dispute settlement provisions	Article 9 ‘Settlement of Disputes’ of the 1992 Framework Agreements on Enhancing ASEAN Economic Cooperation: “1. Any differences between the Member States concerning the interpretation or application of this Agreement or any arrangements arising therefrom shall, as far as possible, be settled amicably between the parties. Whenever necessary, an appropriate body shall be designated for the settlement of disputes.” The 1992 Framework Agreement on Enhancing ASEAN Economic Cooperation is one of the ‘Covered Agreements’ pursuant to Article 1.1 of the 2019 ASEAN Protocol on Enhanced Dispute Settlement Mechanism read together with its Appendix 1. The Agreement was previously one of the ‘Covered Agreements’ pursuant to Article 1.1 of the 1996 Protocol on Dispute Settlement Mechanism read together with its Appendix 1, as well as one of the ‘Covered Agreements’ pursuant to Article 1.1 of the 2004 ASEAN Protocol on Enhanced Dispute Settlement Mechanism read together with its Appendix I.”
