ARTICLE 15 DISPUTE SETTLEMENT “1. The ASEAN Protocol on Enhanced Dispute Settlement Mechanism signed on 29 November 2004 in Vientiane, Lao PDR, or its successor, shall apply to the settlement of disputes concerning the interpretation or implementation of this Agreement. 2. Paragraph 1 shall not apply to Article 6 (Cooperation).”

ARTICLE 19 ENTRY INTO FORCE “1. This Agreement shall enter into force upon the deposit of the instruments of ratification, approval or acceptance by the Member States with the Secretary-General of ASEAN. 2. The Secretary-General of ASEAN shall promptly notify the Member States of the deposit referred to in paragraph 1. 3. This Agreement shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of ASEAN, who shall promptly furnish a certified copy thereof to each Member State.” |

This Agreement was first endorsed by the ASEAN Economic Ministers at the 50th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting (AEMM) on 29 August 2018. This Agreement was first signed by the ASEAN Economic Ministers on 12 November 2018 in Singapore during the 33rd ASEAN Summit, and thereafter signed by the Heads of State/Government of ASEAN in Ha Noi, Viet Nam on 22 January 2019. |
