The Singapore International Arbitration Academy is jointly organised by the National University of Singapore and the Centre for International Law. It provides top-level expert training to private practitioners, mid to senior level government officials, and in-house corporate counsel.

The 2012 Academy was a resounding success, its series of intensive lectures and workshops providing participants with a unique opportunity to learn from and interact closely with some of the most well-regarded arbitration practitioners in the world. The 2013 Academy continued in the same spirit with an innovative and practice-oriented programme crafted to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they require in international arbitration. It kicked off on 22 November 2013, for 11 days of intensive study till 3 December 2013, at the National University of Singapore. It included complimentary admission to the Singapore International Arbitration Forum on 2 December 2013, organised by Maxwell Chambers, and Singapore’s 4th Annual International Investment Arbitration Conference on 3 December 2013, organised by CIL.

2013 Academy

The 2013 Academy’s programme blended together theory and skills training in the field of investor-State arbitration. It involved 11 days of intensive study, arming participants with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate this complex field. Enrolment in the Academy included attendance at CIL’s annual International Investment Arbitration Conference and the Singapore International Arbitration Forum. The 2013 Academy was yet another unparalleled opportunity for government and private practitioners in the Asia-Pacific and abroad to meet, interact with luminaries of international arbitration, and develop new professional relationships.
