ASEAN Ideas in Progress
This “Ideas in Progress” Series is a collection of papers by academics and practitioners, produced out of the presentations made at the ASEAN Law Academy Conference (2021-ongoing), on ‘The Rules-based ASEAN Community’. It seeks to identify the diverse issues emanating from and impacting upon ASEAN law and policy—especially in the areas of politics international relations, trade and investment, and socio-economic development. Unlike a working paper series where the drafts are close to the publication stage, this series comprises papers early in the dynamic and fluid “Ideas” stage, so that scholars and practitioners can speak to each other on their works, test out hypotheses, and contribute to building the ASEAN intellectual community further.
