CIL researchers Joel Ong, Dita Liliansa and Samuel White were invited by the British High Commission Singapore to participate as delegates in a series of Global and Regional Security Expert Panels on board the HMS Prince of Wales at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

The HSM Prince of Wales is one of two Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers and the Fleet Flagship of the Royal Navy. It made its first formal port call in the region as part of an eight-month Indo-Pacific deployment. The opening remarks were delivered by the UK Minister of Defence in the House of Lords, Lord Coaker.

Discussions covered a wide range of pressing topics in foreign and security policy and featured prominent military officials and academic experts. The event provided an important opportunity for collaboration and open exchange of views, reinforcing efforts toward a more secure future.
