CIL Research Associate Taufik Rachmat Nugraha was invited to deliver a lecture on “Seabed Mining: A Lesson for Space Mining” at International Business Law Program, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Indonesia on 9 June 2023. The lecture focused on the development of Seabed Mining under the Law of the Sea Convention 1982 Part XI ‘The Area’ and what ‘Space Mining’ can do based on The Area development to ensure the safety and security aspects of future space mining. The lecture is part of the Space Law course taught by Mr Ridha Aditya Nugraha, S.H., LL.M.
