Miguel Encarnacion attended two ASEAN events held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: the ASEAN Circular Economy Forum 2025 (16-17 October 2025) and the 3^rd ASEAN Investment Forum (24 October 2025).

Under the theme “Accelerate the circular economy transition in ASEAN with green skills, innovative solutions, and investments,” the ASEAN Circular Economy Forum 2025 discussed best practices, new initiatives, and areas of cooperation driving ASEAN’s journey towards a circular economy. The two-day event featured dialogues on ASEAN circular transition, MSME involvement, priority areas for joint action, resource mobilization, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

The 3^rd ASEAN Investment Forum highlighted the role of foreign direct investment in ASEAN’s economic and sustainable growth. Key sessions centred on green transition projects, opportunities in biofuels and carbon capture, smart manufacturing, future health resilience, ASEAN’s renewable energy ecosystem, and ASEAN’s future competitiveness.
