Su Wai Mon and S Nivedita participated in the Singapore – IEA Regional Training Programme on Connecting ASEAN: Technical, Regulatory and Financial Pathways for Cross-Border Power Trade
CIL Research Fellows Su Wai Mon (Oceans Law & Policy) and S Nivedita (Energy Law & Policy) participated in the Singapore – IEA Regional Training Programme on Connecting ASEAN: Technical, Regulatory and Financial Pathways for Cross-Border Power Trade, held on 29 – 30 May 2025, in Singapore. This training programme facilitated dialogue and knowledge sharing between energy policy makers, regulatory authorities and industry professionals from across ASEAN Member States with a view to fostering stronger collaboration to advance energy interconnectivity and multilateral power trade. Su and Nivedita actively participated in the breakout group discussions based on case studies contributing insights on the need for legal and regulatory readiness for the potential interconnector projects including those involving subsea power cables connecting ASEAN Member States.
