Dispute settlement provisions	Article 19 of the 2006 Agreement on Trade in Goods under the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation among the Governments of the Member Countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Republic of Korea applies: “Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, any dispute concerning the interpretation, implementation or application of this Agreement shall be resolved through the procedures and mechanism as set out in the Agreement on Dispute Settlement Mechanism under the Framework Agreement”.

Entry into Force / Termination Provisions	“3. This Letter of Understanding shall enter into force, for Parties that have notified completion of their internal procedures in accordance with paragraph 2, thirty (30) days from the latter date on which at least one ASEAN Member Country and Korea made such notifications.” “4. Without prejudice to paragraph 3, this Letter of Understanding shall enter into force for all other ASEAN Member Countries thirty (30) days from the respective dates such ASEAN Member Countries notify completion of their internal procedures in accordance with paragraph 2.”

Additional Information	Note paragraph 5: “This Letter of Understanding shall form an integral part of the Agreement in Trade in Goods.” The ratification/notification information for this instrument was not available from the ASEAN Secretariat Resource Centre website as of the date of update. The ratificaton information for Thailand was last accessed on that website on the date indicated. The remaining ratification/notification information was obtained from the Treaty Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. Some of the dates given appear to be the dates of execution of the instruments of ratification/notification, rather than their date of receipt by the depository. As such, the date of taking effect cannot be calculated by CIL researchers with certainty, although it appears that if the ROK and Malaysia were the first countries to ratify this understanding, it would take effect on 09 April 2011 based on the dates of the letters of notification.
