  1. Danielle Yeow at the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, UK.
  2. ICC – Climate Change Related Disputes and their Resolution through Arbitration/ADR (speaker), 12/11. Danielle was invited to speak on a panel discussing the resolution of climate change related disputes via ADR.
  3. UCL – Practice of Public International Law as Government Legal Advisor – reflections (speaker), 23/11 Danielle shared her reflections covering various aspects of the practice of public international law in a fireside chat moderated by Martins Paparinski. 
  4. NUS - Climate Change Law Course - Danielle was invited by course convenor Prof Douglas Kysar to deliver a guest on her reflections on Singapore's role in international climate negotiations.
  5. CIL – E-Training on Climate Change and Law of the Sea – “Interaction between UNCLOS and the Climate Change regime and COP26 update” (lecture), 8/2/22
  6. CIL – One Health and International Law, 8/3/22 Danielle spoke on the relationship between One Health and international environmental law.
  7. Danielle was invited to deliver a seminar lecture at University of Durham – Law and Global Justice programme – “COP26 roadmap and road to COP27” (speaker) – 31 Mar 2022
  8. Danielle Yeow participated in the "Ocean and Climate Dialogue: East Asian Seas' Response to the Global Climate Change Challenge" convened by the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) on 8 June 2022. The dialogue contributes to the Sea East Asia region's contribution to promoting climate - ocean dialogues and follows up on PEMSEA’s country partners' reaffirmation of their commitment to the blue economy and support global efforts to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement with mitigation and adaptation as crucial underlying principles in accelerating the blue economy.
  9. Railla Puno participated and contributed in the invitation-only “Southeast Asia Regional Workshop on Loss and Damage” convened by Manila Observatory in partnership with Samdhana Institute and Chiang Mai University on 22-25 August 2022, which brought together participants from various sectors from seven Southeast Asian countries and discussed loss and damage specific to the region and agreed on the importance and urgency of establishing a loss and damage financing facility.  https://www.sei.org/events/southeast-asia-regional-workshop-on-loss-and-damage/
  10. Railla participated and contributed in two events of the Independent Global Stocktake (iGST) Southeast Asia Hub: Inception Session held 23 July 2022 and Deep Dive Session held on 1 September 2022. https://www.climateworks.org/independent-global-stocktake/
  11. Railla attended the “Forum of the Standing Committee on Finance (Part II): Finance for Nature-based Solutions” in behalf of the Research and Independent Non-Governmental Organizations (RINGO) UNFCCC constituency on 26-28 September 2022. https://ringosnet.wordpress.com/scf/
  12. Railla has been accepted as a member for the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law 2022-2025 and is part of its Climate Change Law and Ocean Law Network.

Public International Law / Other Collaborations

  1. Danielle attended an Invitation only workshop on Crypto and Net Zero 2022 (20 April 2022) in the World Economic Forum led workshop series on Crypto Impact and Sustainability Accelerator (CISA) Net Zero which convenes experts to discuss methods to effect a sustainable transformation of carbon markets and explore how crypto-economic mechanisms and new models for transparency can help institutions both achieve and enhance net-zero commitments.

  3. US-ASEAN Cyber Dialogue – Fostering Digital Cooperation Across the Pacific – Danielle Yeow
  4. CIL’s Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, Danielle Yeow, included in list of arbitrators for the UK-Singapore FTA established pursuant to para 2 of Art 14.20 of the Incorporated Agreement.
  5. Danielle Yeow attended an UNFCCC RINGO Oceans Interest Group Meeting on 5 May 2022 to discuss the priorities and activities ahead for the oceans interest group.
  6. Danielle Yeow moderated the second session of the US-ASEAN cyber and digital dialogue jointly convened with Columbia University's SIPA and NTU's RSiS on 15 June 2022. Participants (from public and private sector and academia/think tanks) had a robust and engaging discussion on the cyber and hybrid threat lessons from the Russia/Ukraine crisis, and the misinformation threat landscape in the South East Asian region.
  7. Danielle Yeow was invited to speak at the inaugural UN-Singapore Cyber Fellowship programme (1-6 Aug). The Fellowship, organised by the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore and the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs, is the flagship programme under the UN-Singapore Cyber Programme. This inter-disciplinary programme, organised by the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs and the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore, was attended by participants comprising of high level national cyber officials from UN member states.
