CIL Director Robert Beckman made a presentation on “Military Activities in the Exclusive Economic Zone” at the International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC) at the Singapore EXPO. The Conference was organized by the Republic of Singapore Navy and the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS).

CIL Director Robert Beckman made a presentation on “The Law and Practice in Asia on the Protection of Submarine Cables” at the CIMA/COLP Submarine Cable Workshop in Beijing, China. Prof Beckman also served as Rapporteur for the Workshop. The Workshop was organized by the China Institute of Maritime Affairs (CIMA) of Beijing, China and the Centre for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP) of the University of Virginia, with support from the International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC).
